Last week marked a milestone-
-my official ribbon cutting with the Bonham Chamber of Commerce at the cozy and charming Neighbors Place Winery right here in Bonham, TX. I’m still smiling thinking about what a beautiful day it was—surrounded by good people, amazing local creatives, and so much encouragement!
One of the most enjoyable parts of preparing for the event was printing and displaying images from past client sessions. Seeing those moments brought to life on print reminded me exactly why I do what I do—and how much storytelling power a photo can hold.
I even got creative with a photo wall divider I found at Goodwill! After a fresh coat of black paint and a little vision, it turned into the perfect piece to showcase the heart of my work.
Neighbors Place really set the tone with a gorgeous charcuterie board, and it felt like the perfect pairing with the welcoming atmosphere. It was such a great turnout—I met so many kind people and even connected with fellow creatives. :)
One thing I always aim to do—whether I’m photographing an event, a branding session, or a portrait shoot—is capture the real stuff. The little in-between details that often get overlooked. That’s what I loved doing during the ribbon cutting, and it’s what I love doing for clients too. From the tiny twinkle lights in the background to the hands holding a wine glass mid-convo, I notice those moments and frame them with intention.
A huge thank you to my parents and my boyfriend for being there to support me—it meant the world. And congrats to the raffle winners! I’m excited to schedule your shoots soon and create something amazing together!
Thank you again to Neighbors Place Winery and the Bonham Chamber of Commerce for hosting and celebrating this next chapter with me. I’m excited for what’s ahead and so thankful to be doing what I love in a community that truly shows up.
